My name is Gio Bote! I have been an RN now for 3 years and have an extensive medical background as a Paramedic, LPN, EMT and Medical Assistant. I have worked in many departments including the ER, ICU, Urgent Care, Pulmonology, Occupational Medicine and Plastic Surgery. I have been living in Idaho now for 6 years and I love it out here! I am a very nature oriented guy and love to go hiking, fishing, kayaking and camping on my time off and Idaho definitely offers all of the above. I moved to Idaho from...you guessed it...California and it was the best decision I have ever made. When it comes to the medical field and my theories and beliefs, I believe that the body is more than prepared to be able to heal on its own, all it needs is a little boost, and that is where functional medicine comes into play. Originally coming from Romania, Romanians are major advocates for functional medicine and using what the earth provides to feel better and heal better. As an athlete that participated in semi-professional Soccer and trained in MMA, I always turned to functional medicine to be able to play and train at peak performance. The reason I became an RN is to contribute to the betterment of my community by providing personalized quality care for all of my patients no matter what the situation :). By working with AMIV and using functional medicine, I truly believe I can live that dream out and use all of my people skills and nursing skills to accomplish my goal. I look forward to meeting you and look forward to seeing your health improve !
My name is Gladys Nyle Truong. I am originally from the Philippines, where I graduated Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009, and Doctor of Medicine in 2015. While in medical school, and as a licensed RN, I ran a small mobile IV infusion business similar to AMIV’s for four years. I then migrated to the US in mid 2017, and worked as a registered nurse. I have experience in acute care - intensive care unit, telemetry, observation unit; I have also worked in an outpatient chronic dialysis center. My husband and I decided to move to Idaho from Southern California in 2021 after we had our first baby, and have been a stay-at-home mom since. While being a full-time mom, I am slowly finishing my degree to become a nurse practitioner. As much as I love being a mom, I miss my role as a nurse, thus, I am grateful to be welcomed in the AMIV- Treasure Valley team. I am a firm believer of the phrase, “prevention is better than cure.” Western medicine has its role in helping restore our health, but we also have the responsibility to be proactive in taking care of our own health through our lifestyle, and support of functional medicine. Together with the AMIV team, we are here to support you in your health journey!
Meet Shauna Key, the owner of AMIV/Treasure Valley. She is an entrepreneur at heart and has owned several businesses in the past. She started off in the science world with an AS Degree in Equine Science where she went on to professionally ride horses and work as a veterinary technician in Virginia and then Seattle. Originally from Montana, she wanted to get back to some sunshine and ended up landing in the Treasure Valley in 2007. From there she went back to school and got her RN and has currently been working as a Preop and PACU nurse. She has a profound love for science and preventative medicine and spends much of her free time researching functional medicine and holistic medicine. Her and her husband own/operate Key Farms, LLC, where they grow sustainably raised Pork, Chicken, Lamb, Eggs and Microgreens and supply organically raised food to the Treasure Valley. She brings an emphasis on treating the body from a cellular level and finding genetic deficiencies.
