I don’t really love bios that just list off credentials. But yes, I do have my LPN and a bachelor’s degree. Honestly though, what I value more is my experience, my dedication, and the way I have kept learning as I go. Did I want to finish and get my RN? Yes. Was I a single mom in school with two kids? Yes. So when I was finally able to become a nurse, that was all I wanted. There isn’t much difference between an LPN and an RN. Both are nurses. I have always loved the patient care side, and that’s where I’ve put my focus. I was the LPN who was assigned to trained the RNs, the LPN other nurses came to with questions, the LPN every company sent out with surveyors to make sure they showed off their best nurse, the LPN that went to the wound clinic to learn what each patient needed and ended up teaching wound care and wound vacs to the RN's. The LPN that got certified in dialysis so I could take care of my father in law at home, and then trained other nurses how to do it, the LPN that opened a home health and hospice which included getting accredited, hired and trained the staff, learned the EMR and taught it to all the staff.... The LPN that built somthing worth one of the largest competing companies in Utah to buy after 1 year operating. I'm the LPN happy to pass on skills. For me, experience, knowledge, and being teachable have always been more valuable than any set of letters behind my name. That’s what makes me trust what I say. Some of my most meaningful experience came in hospice care. It wasn’t about the company name on my badge, it was the patients who taught me more than I ever imagined, and the doctors I was blessed to work alongside who trusted me fully. That kind of loyalty and respect is something no one can take away, and it shaped me into the nurse and person I am today. I have been blessed with great mentors at every stage, each one showing up right when they were meant to. Growth has always had a way of finding me like that. I tend to see the good in people sometimes to a fault. That makes me an easy target at times, but I would much rather keep seeing the good than let bitterness define me. With growth comes criticism. People are quick to assume the worst, rather than focus on the good things. Some have even taken the time to copy, package, stamp, and send slander about me. But I’ve learned that when you silence the noise, you realize people don’t waste time tearing down those who don’t matter. Criticism is often a sign you’re building something worth noticing and if you’re not being chased, you’re probably not moving forward. I don’t carry bitterness toward anyone. We’re all here to grow, to work, and to be successful. Hurt people hurt people, and sometimes they even use their credentials as a way to do it. I recognize that pain for what it is and choose to focus on lifting others instead. The trick is not to listen too closely, because when you walk past the noise, you see who’s really with you. Those are the people I want to build with the ones who stick through the ups and downs and stay loyal to the vision. For me, success isn’t about clout or status. It’s about becoming a little better every day, focusing on the good instead of searching for flaws, and chasing the unreachable goal and then reaching it. That’s what keeps me humble, driven, and alive. My hope is to inspire confidence, to build trust, and to remind others they’re capable of far more than they believe, especially when we choose to grow side by side. So if you’re reading my bio for the right reasons, you’ll see me for who I am.
