IV therapy is becoming a go-to option for people who want faster hydration, better nutrient absorption, and efficient support for energy, immunity, and recovery. If you are new to IV therapy, it is normal to have questions. Below are the most common questions we hear, answered clearly and directly so you know exactly what to expect.

Do I need a physician’s order?

No. You do not need to bring a physician’s order. All IV therapy services are provided under the direction of a licensed medical provider. This ensures care is delivered safely and in compliance with medical standards without requiring extra steps from you.

Do I need a telehealth appointment?

Yes. A telehealth evaluation is included with every IV therapy service.

Our medical provider completes a required telehealth assessment to confirm that IV therapy is appropriate and safe for you. There is no separate charge for this visit. It is a standard part of the process and helps ensure proper care based on your health history and needs.

Can I pay with my HSA or FSA?

Yes. We accept HSA payments. Many clients use their health savings accounts to cover IV therapy services.

How long do the vitamins and benefits last?

Most clients feel benefits immediately or within 24 hours. The effects commonly last several days to up to a week. Duration varies based on factors such as hydration level, physical activity, stress, and individual metabolism.

How long does an IV infusion take?

Most IV infusions take between 45 and 60 minutes. The exact time depends on the formulation selected and how your body responds during the infusion.

Is IV therapy safe?

Yes. IV therapy is generally safe when administered by trained medical professionals under proper medical oversight.

Before treatment, every client is screened through telehealth. During the infusion, sterile, medical-grade supplies are used, and you are monitored throughout the process to ensure comfort and safety.

Does getting an IV hurt?

You may feel a brief pinch when the IV is placed. After insertion, most clients report little to no discomfort during the infusion.

What are the risks?

Risks are uncommon but may include:

  • Mild bruising or soreness at the IV site

  • Lightheadedness, especially if feeling nervous

  • Rare vein irritation or infiltration

Our nurses monitor you throughout the infusion and are trained to manage these situations if they occur.

Can I receive IV therapy if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Some IV therapies may be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, while others are not recommended. This is determined during the included telehealth evaluation.

Always inform your nurse and medical provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding so the safest option can be selected.

How often can I receive IV therapy?

Frequency depends on your individual needs and the type of IV therapy received. Some clients schedule weekly or bi-weekly visits, while others receive IV therapy as needed.

Your medical provider will guide you on appropriate frequency based on your goals and health profile.

What if I have small or difficult veins?

Our nurses are experienced in working with small or challenging veins. Techniques such as warming, vein-finding tools, and alternative placement options are commonly used.

If an IV cannot be placed comfortably, other options may be discussed to ensure your experience remains safe and positive.

What to Expect Overall

IV therapy is designed to be straightforward, efficient, and medically guided. From the included telehealth evaluation to professional monitoring during your infusion, the process prioritizes safety, comfort, and effectiveness.

If you have additional questions, our medical team is always available to help you decide what option is right for you.
